Well, it's over! (We'll I have about one hour left of Insurance Law.)

What I've learned:
1. The teachers you fear the most, will teach you the most.
2. If you think you are the best in the class, you probably aren't.
3. People think I'm smarter than I thought they would.
4. People who you think are your friends aren't necessarily.
5. Stay away from insurance law.
6. If you think you'll love a certain area of the law, you probably won't.
7. Connections count. Network it up.
8. Knowing the law library staff will get you more perks than you think. (Goodbye fines! Hello free bagels.)
9. Law school is high school with more alcohol.
10. Paying attention in class pays off. What did the professor just say?

Well, spring break is over!

It was a fairly nice week for those of us who were glorified babysitters. I was tempted to florida with the promise of my own room (well, for me and jeremy) and free time. I ended up sharing a room with a 6yr old who tried to make me lay video games with her for 5 days straight.

The weather was a little off. We had about three days of sunshine, but by the third day we were burnt b/c the days before it had rained, so we soaked up all the sun all day when it was sunny fearing the rest of the trip would suck.

I spent alot of time playing wii. I learned that is possible to lose gold to Taylor and that I shouldn't let her play my mii when she plays tennis, b/c she easily looses my hard earned points.

On the way home jeremy and i stopped to meet 4-month-old Hailey Pass. She was adorable and had the sweetest cheeks. I wish I could spend more time with that tiny angel.

Today I gave my two-weeks notice to my boss. I feel so freed. Its nice.

Oh, also passed the MPRE (the ethics part of the bar exam.)

It's my last semester of law school. My Ohio Bar application is done. I've bought books and signed up for the MPRE. All I have to do now is study.

The holiday season is over. Christmas was spent running back and forth from Ohio and Kentucky. New Years was spent in the DC area with Danny, Erin, and Leathers. Good times. Hopefully they're be pictures soon!

Well, I must go back to learning about the history of insurance...

Tuesday was gross and rainy. What a perfect day to start off my clerking at the Juvenile Court - nothing like flooding rains, drugs and teenagers in handcuffs.

It was interesting though, I got to sit in on a probable cause hearing to determine whether a juvenile was tried as an adult.

Then I got to come all the way to school for one class, Commercial transactions, which I just don't get. The highlight of the day was obviously our purchase of The Office season two. Already Jeremy & I have watched 6 episodes, deleted scenes and commentary. This is the best show on TV, if you're not watching it, you should be. It took me awhile to get it. In fact, i hate the show initally and berated those who watched it. Apparently my ability to enjoy deadpan humor has greatly increased.

Enjoy your wednesday!

They canceled one of my classes (a five hour one) so I signed up for Judicial externship. Unfortunately I didn't get what I wanted - the assignment that I was obviously more qualifed for than others. I wanted Probabte. I've taken all the Estate Planning relevant courses at UD - included two tax classes. Additionally, I have a job doing estate planning. I don't think anyone else Hhas taken all those clases. I'm so depressed. I get to spend 140 hours working for the Juvenile court now. which might be interesting, but its not at all what I wanted.

I worked late nights at the library last week and I think I have something like jet-lag - my body's clock is completly off. I can't get to sleep until 3 or 4 in the morning... which means I play on the internet all night (I feel like Matt Leathers).

Bored to death... nothing to do...

spend the weekend in cincinatti doing cincinnati things. Jeremy took me to a baseball game and then we spent the night at the Cincinnatian (really cool old hotel). Then we walked around the downtown and weregoing to go to Tiffany's and Saks, but apparently everything in downtown cinci closes at 5pm. So we ended up driving to the Montgomery Inn Boathouse for dinner. It was great.

On the way home Monday, we went to the zoo. It was a great and exhausting weekend. Jeremy got me a great new Tiffanys necklace, so that was the icing on the weekend.

Tuesday and Wednesday were spent in lexington. Tuesday was spent shopping and then spending time with my old friend Sarah Barlow. got caught up in the new J.Crew styles and then discovered that Macy's now carries Michael Kors. Had a great time and now have a new section in my closet. Love making the money in the summer time! Plus, I'm now sporting a cuter short haircut.

Jeremy made fun plans for our anniversary. We're going to Cinci since its close by - he got us a room in the Cincinnatian - this great old downtown hotel. We're going to a baseball game (since thats what we did on our first date) and then going to a fun fancy dinner and then the next day going to the zoo. (I do love cute animals.)

I've been sitting here for 6 hours. I've probably only done one hours worth of work for the library. Most of it is just sitting around here.

I think I've solved the mystery of my 5.50/hr paycheck.

Phoebe, just like her mom, loves sweets - she'll eat any kind of candy. In fact, she'll use whatever means necessary to get at it. Keep this in mind.

So, Jeremy had to go to Kings Island this week with some kids from school b/c it was Science day and they were getting judged on the faux roller coaster they built. (Incidentally, they won "Most Interesting," which is code for this roller coaster was crazy and completely unreallistic which was the goal of the project, thus it was the loser prize.)So, Kings Island has this great little candy shoppe (yes with an extra p and an e) where they make homemade fudge. So knowing my penchant for the sweets and fudge in particular, he buys some.

So we've been working on it, chipping away at the three different blocks (it was buy two get one free and jeremy likes a sale). The vanillia block wasn't getting as much attention as the chocolate ones, seriously its fudge - fudge is either based in peanut butter or chocolate- I don't get this vanillia nonsense. So Saturday afternoon we go upstairs to prepare for work (me) and some fancy Fiji banquet in Columbus (Jeremy). In the midst of this, Pheobe decides that it's her turn for the fudge. She somehow manages to drag it off the table, open the box, peel away the wax paper and eat ALL of it.

Needless to say after we returned from our respective events, phoebe had not only managed to escape her cage and open the door of the extra bedroom (I still don't know how she did this), she went downstairs on both our couch and loveseat to rid herself of what she had previously eaten.... I'm just glad Jeremy got home first! ;)

oh, it's summer... it's supposed to be trips to the beach, pool, and short-shorts

thus far all i've done is write papers and work at the library. Jeremy and I had planned to take a vacation but Jeremy is switching jobs and there's going to be a small money gap this summer. We're trying to think of cheap places to go that aren't too far away. Although cheap is the most important aspect.

I'm thinking maybe just a fun trip to Cinci over our anniversary weekend. Fancy dinner, trip to Tiffany's and a pretty hotel room may jsut have to do it. I wanted to take Phebs to outerbanks, but it's just not going to happen.

So, I guess I'll go back to writing yet another paper. Schools out and at least I'm getting paid for this.

Thank God for Catholic School! UD gave me both Friday and Monday off to celebrate the death and ressurection of Jesus. Which was great b/c I have papers due out my a$$. (One prof has 3 papers due in the next 2 weeks - this man is crazy.) Luckily my Mediation paper is going well for now, but I wrote about 1/3 of it yesterday after Jeremy decided to play with the contents of our bar and make new fun beverages... there may be some revision necessary.

In other news, the bake sale PAFA had at school raised 150 for a domestic abuse organization that helps women. Yay! My mint brownies were a hit. Reviews included "Awesome" and "Double Awesome." Yes, I can bake, that may explain my weight gain since I have my own kitchen now.

Jeremy is out getting my favorit Carribean Chicken Salad from Chili's right now. Seriously, I married the best man ever. We ate Easter dinner with Jeremy's Grandmothers, Aunt, Uncle, Dad, Bro, and cousins today. One of his cousins said she didn't think she'd get married until 30. I can't imagine waiting that long, but I guess I got really blessed with Jeremy. Seriously couldn't ask for anyone better. I wish everyone could find someone kind, compassionate and sexy as him. I even adore his slightly dorkiness.

I hope you all had a blessed and safe weekend. Happy Easter to my fellow Christians. (Have a good/happy Passover too.)

According to my Coach.com horoscope, my traits are:

The fish traditionally rules Pisces, although a more modern symbol would be the dolphin. A true Pisces woman is graceful and lives harmoniously together with the world around her.

Pisces are known to be extremely intelligent with a rare knack for solving difficult problems. They have great powers of concentration and are blessed with an open mind and a terrific imagination. Pisces love to fantasize. They also tend to be gentle and sweet natured, and on rare occasions they can be real prima donnas. And finally, as the last lady of the zodiac, Pisces women are thought to be the culmination of all those women before her.
----

Now I don't really usually believe these things, but this actually seems about right; except I tend to be a prima donna more than just occassionally... just ask Jeremy.

A blonde walks into a bank in New York City and asks for the loan officer.

She says she's going to Europe on business for two weeks and needs to borrow $5,000. The bank officer says the bank will need some kind of security for the loan, so the blonde hands over the keys to a new Rolls Royce. The car is parked on the street in front of the bank, she has the title and everything checks out.. The bank agrees to accept the car as collateral for the loan.

The bank's president and its officers all enjoy a good laugh at the blonde for using a $250,000 Rolls as collateral against a $5,000 loan. An employee of the bank then proceeds to drive the Rolls into the bank's underground garage and parks it there.

Two weeks later, the blonde returns, repays the $5,000 and the interest,
which comes to $15.41. The loan officer says, "Miss, we are very happy to have had your business and this transaction has worked out very nicely, but we are a little puzzled. While you were away, we checked you out and found that you are a multimillionaire. What puzzles us is, why would you bother to borrow $5,000?"

The blonde replies....."Where else in New York City can I park my car for two weeks for only $15.41 and expect it to be there when I return?"

Today has been a super long day. It has exhausted and spent me. Now it's planning to completely ruin me in my last meeting and class of the day... enough whining.

so, this weekend, big outing to the lex vegas. where jeremy and i will plan to hang out with a bunch of our friends who will inevitably forget to return our calls, have to work, or forget us. that's fine. we only call like 1-in-4 of the times we come down.

last weekend will forever been known as my weekend of Debauchery. St. Patty's with my girls was great a Fox & Hound and the impromtu dinner party on saturday was a blast. It's great to have a new bunch of friends in my second year. I keep losing friends to the drop out rate.

go watch veronica mars and have a great hump day.

(yes, i know i need a new user picture, but i'm so damn lazy)
